Brian Leaghty
President and CEO

Brian Leaghty is President and CEO of Ortho Technology. After beginning his orthodontic career with American Orthodontics in 1983 as an account representative covering Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, he was recruited by Centric Orthodontics in 1984 to “open up” the State of Florida.
With the vast knowledge he gained within the orthodontic industry, Brian launched his first orthodontic company in 1987. He then founded Ortho Technology in 1991. Brian set out to build Ortho Technology offering innovative and unique products to orthodontists worldwide. This, coupled with a foundation of high quality and outstanding customer service, are what continue to drive Ortho Technology to be a leader in the industry.
Brian attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia
and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in
Pre-Law in 1980. |

Shirley Stanley
Vice President of International Sales

As Vice President of International Sales, Shirley Stanley is responsible for sales growth and relationship building of Ortho Technology's worldwide dealer partnerships. Shirley possess over 17 years of Executive Management experience within the orthodontic industry and over 30 years of experience working with international markets.
Prior to joining the Orthodontic Industry, Shirley worked for 15 years as Senior Director of International Sales and Operations of a Fortune 500 Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. Shirley also worked for 10 years at TP Orthodontics. Positions Shirley has held within the orthodontic industry include Vice President, Global Sales and Vice President of Marketing.

Mike Bracciodieta
Vice President of Operations

Mike Bracciodieta is Vice President of Operations and specializes in facility management, operations administration, budgeting, security management, training, and report and forecast development. Mike's has worked for over 35 years in the orthodontic industry including six years spent as Director of Operations for Dentsply GAC.
Mike attended Empire State College in Hauppauge, New York. He received a Certificate from the Global Leadership Development Program from University of North Carolina, a Certificate of Lean Training from JCIT International, and a Certificate of ISO Implementation/Quality System Auditing from SGS International. |

Rene J. Zarate
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for Ortho Technology, Rene Zarate oversees all company accounting practices and directs financial strategies. Rene has gained broad experience through his extensive career that started with Grant Thornton, the seventh largest international accounting firm in the United States. From there he joined Rivero, Gordimer & Company, a CPA firm begun by former partners of the international firm. He assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer of a healthcare provider and was responsible for an organization that employed over 500 people, servicing clients in seven counties of west-central Florida.
Rene is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accounts, in addition to being a 1992 graduate of the Leadership Tampa program sponsored by the local Chamber. Rene has also been awarded the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) designation by the AICPA.
Rene graduated from Western Kentucky University where he majored in accounting.

As Accounting Manager, Cindy Bestmann is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. Cindy has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field. Cindy spent three years with a Tampa CPA office and three years with the Tampa Urban League before beginning her Ortho Technology tenure in 1995. |

As Human Resources Manager, Shelly Forcke specializes in recruiting, employee performance management and development, compensation analysis, regulatory compliance and benefits administration.
Shelly attended Radford College and was employed by Hunton & Williams Law Firm in Richmond, Virginia before relocating to Tampa in 2000. Shelly is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and HR Tampa, a local SHRM chapter. |
